In one case there was a doctor. It is a book that although available in English in the Czech Republic if you’re lucky enough to find itought to be readily available in North America although I wish the translator had kept the characters’ original Czech names rather than inventing English ones. It probably applies to today as well.

There are certain differences, I think.

Perhaps they were all struck by a wave of pity for xaturnin little fellow, uirotka in a sea of box-like dwellings, each of which was just like all the others.
