Everyone – even those who feel they don’t have time in their busy schedules for yoga – should read this book. The feet should stay in the same place through this whole exercise. He has conducted medicinal research in more than 30 countries across 5 continents and the South Pacific. Chris is a jewel among men! If I were in prison or trapped in a monastery, with no access to external wisdom or stimulation, then this book would be a very useful guide to how I could productively grow and occupy my time.
It is informative but endearing, and the colloquial nature of the Medicine Hunter’s no-apologies, straightforward discourse will enlighten those who are already practicing students, and those who wish to become so.
I recommend it as a starting point or to yoga beginners. Not flve insightful as I had hoped.

The book recounted an engaging story about the discovery of five yoga exercises taught to Kelder by a retired British army officer who had learned the exercises from some Tibetan lamas in a monastery in the Himalayas. Positioning of the hands is very important; they must be placed exactly alongside the hips. The only claim that I can figure is that they give you longevity.
First I felt this book could change lives.

In fact, there was nothing I didn’t already know. Interesting quick read with some breathing and some extras thrown in. The Five Tibetans are a fantastic, fast daily practice that This is more of a manual than a book; the simple correct execution of the Five Tibetans or five key exercises to help restore the balance between one’s energy centers or Chakras.
They require no special equipment and can be done in only 10 minutes a day either as a stand-alone practice or added to an existing yoga routine. Which is, of course, nearly impossible to prove. In this volume you are given tools to strengthen your body, enhance your health, increase your energy, hone your concentration, and experience the profound power and peace of deep meditation. Excellent summary of pranayama, kundalini, chakras and a subset of yoga for modern westerners.
Having done these exercises consistently for years before having read this bookI have yet to find the purpose to two of them, which have no apparent physical benefit at all.
I found this book interesting. The information is put forth clearly and succinctly. Can be done in ten minutes. While the author does explain the method well, he also goes into great depth about what Chakras really are, and even more basically, what the energy system is that exists within all of us and how we can come to understand and use that system to iklham own benefit.
