BUT the series are different than the book, one Well, this is one of the most wonderful books I have ever read.

Catherine Cookson brings to life Cissie and the Brodie family, struggling to survive against all odds as only an author who has experienced hardships and come from the bottom up can. Cissie explains how she had to give up her baby to save Bella. It tells the story of a courageous young girl who takes on the challenge of raising her many brothers and sisters. I loved the book and never forgot about it over the years. Clive buys a house for Cissie and says he will settle a monthly sum on her and she can live in the house with Richard.

Sure, he apologized for raping and impregnating her with a child she would never raise, so I guess an “I’m sorry about all that crazy stuff that happened” can be forgiven. Easy to read but very hard to put down. It’s been a while since I read A Catherine Cookson book and I wasn’t sure about it at the beginning because my preferred books are thrillers, but I really enjoyed it. The shot misses, but Isabelle falls off her horse and hits her head on a rock and dies immediately.
Yes, I have issues with the ending less hide spoiler ]. Although the novel is not part of the world classics, and the characters are not complicated and the plot not philosophical, I would recommend it with all my heart.
I’m sorry, but there are elements that are so inappropriate that I don’t even know where to begin. Set in the ‘s, the film tells the story of year-old Cissie Brodie after dwelljng death of parents, and the repossession of the family home.
I’d also like to read “Feathers In The Fire” by the same author which also seems to be a different book.
